Chapter 77 continues
When I came out of the large tent, the sun was already very bright.
To be honest, resting in the tent wasn't very comfortable, but the experience was quite novel. It felt like the only thing separating you from nature was a thin layer of tent fabric.
Chen Yu started doing some moderate activities. Strenuous exercise is not suitable for high-altitude areas, otherwise the oxygen content will not be sufficient, which may trigger altitude sickness and require a long time to adapt.
That's why none of the four of them were very tired last night. By the time Chen Yu returned from his workout, all four of them were already up and helping to make breakfast.
"Aren't the children awake?"
“Honey, Xiaoyouzi and Xiaodao haven’t gotten up yet. Dr. Huang has already checked on them and they’re fine; they’re just tired from the car ride yesterday. Ziyan is already up, so Gu Gu is taking him to the bathroom,” Zhong Xiaoqin explained to Chen Yu.
Dr. Huang was a doctor specially invited. Chen Yu was worried that if his child fell ill in this remote area, it would be difficult to find a hospital, so he asked Dr. Huang to accompany him, and also brought some commonly used medicines and tools. Dr. Huang was also a woman, and she was in the same car as the nanny.
After having lunch and packing their belongings, the group set off again.
Heading to the seaside guesthouse we'll be visiting tonight, Chen Yu decided not to stay in a tent again after just one day.
On the shores of Qinghai Lake, the group visited several well-known scenic spots and also went to some less crowded but beautiful places recommended by travel agencies. They took photos, enjoyed the scenery, tasted the unique local cuisine, watched the Rebgong June Festival, and experienced the customs and culture of the Tibetan people.
The ten-day trip passed quickly; they had seen most of the sights, and Chen Yu was planning their return journey. He had already sent someone to drive the RV to Hunan Province, and the group would fly directly to Shashi, then travel by RV to Chashan.
This place is practically Gu Jia's territory; everything is arranged by Gu Jia.
"Come in, everyone. This is my home now. I've bought it." Gu Jia pushed open the courtyard gate, and everyone filed in. Chen Yu, carrying Xiao Youzi, followed at the back. Xiao Youzi had fallen asleep in the car, and Chen Yu, worried that Wang Wenwen wouldn't be comfortable holding her, took her in his arms. Xiao Youzi loved to sleep in Chen Yu's arms, resting her little head on his shoulder, her tiny hands able to pinch his ears, feeling utterly safe.
Gu Jia saw Xiao Youzi wake up from behind Chen Yu, her big eyes darting around. She smiled and walked over, playfully pinching Xiao Youzi's nose. "You little rascal, why didn't you get up when you were awake?"
Little Yuzi wouldn't have it. She sat on Chen Yu's arm, straightened up, and shouted and gestured at Chen Yu, "Rake! Rake!"
Chen Yu chuckled and showered Xiao Youzi with kisses. "Xiao Youzi, were you bullied? Don't worry, I'll get revenge for you later!" Chen Yu's beard caught Xiao Youzi's attention, and she started trying to pluck it off.
Gu Jia arranged accommodations for everyone, and they took a nap before heading to the tea plantation in the afternoon.
The scenery of the tea mountain is truly beautiful. Looking into the distance, the clouds and mountains seem to veil the entire area like a light gauze, swirling with mist, creating a scene reminiscent of a fairyland, appearing and disappearing, adding a touch of mystery. A gentle breeze carries a hint of coolness, a soothing touch from nature, bringing comfort to the body and mind. The terraced fields, like a meticulously painted scroll, unfold layer upon layer on the earth, each layer neatly arranged as if finely sculpted. Viewed from above, the winding lines, reflecting the surrounding mountains and mist, create a breathtaking scene, like a brocade carefully woven by Mother Earth, adorning the entire tea mountain with extraordinary beauty, captivating visitors and making them reluctant to leave.
Chen Yu was at the very back, holding two children on either side of him, looking up at the four women above. Against the backdrop of this beautiful scenery, the four women appeared even more stunning.
Chen Yu tilted his head slightly, his gaze falling upon the four women above him. Their figures were graceful, like four delicate flowers blooming in the depths of time, every line exuding endless charm and allure. Their exquisite faces seemed sculpted with the finest brushstrokes; their skin was as white as snow, their lips as red as fire, their eyes as bright as stars, radiating a captivating light under the gentle caress of the sunlight. Especially when they stood together, their mutually illuminating and harmonious beauty was dazzling and mesmerizing. It was as if they were not from the mortal world, but rather fairies gracefully descending from a misty fairyland, captivating and enchanting all who beheld them. The beautiful scenery seemed to become their backdrop, making them even more radiant, and the whole world seemed to shine brighter because of their presence.
He put the child down, leaving the nanny to watch over him, and then took out his camera and started snapping photos of the four of them from every angle. The four noticed Chen Yu's actions and all cooperated by striking various poses.
After descending the tea mountain, they went to the tea factory to observe the tea production process. Although Gu Jia favored purely handmade production, Chen Yu felt that standardization was better. He kept his thoughts to himself, without discussing them with Gu Jia. Currently, the market still favors purely handmade products; conforming to market rules is more profitable. Moreover, Gu Jia's tea factory is highly customized, and it seems that purely handmade production is more suitable for this model.
The dinner was prepared by someone hired by the village chief, using the most traditional cooking methods in the village. To be honest, traditional doesn't necessarily mean good. Everyone thought the food was just average and not particularly delicious, but its freshness made up for it somewhat.
That night, Chen Yu took out the photos he had taken on the tea mountain and showed everyone a few of the best ones. Zhong Xiaoqin suddenly remembered something and tried to run out, but Chen Yu caught her around the waist and slammed the door shut.
The next day, the four of them got up one after another, exhausted. They made up their minds that from now on, Chen Yu would stand at attention properly when taking pictures, and if he posed again, they would be dogs! The worst off was Wang Manni. She loved taking pictures, loved showing off, and loved striking strange poses and exaggerated looks. She just never expected that liking to take pictures would become her original sin!
Gu Jia didn't stay at the tea factory for too long; after all, it wasn't a tourist attraction, and spending a couple of days there would be boring. Before leaving, Gu Jia also inspected the factory's safety management. Although it wasn't as dangerous as a fireworks factory, necessary precautions were still necessary. Video surveillance and worker safety needed to be guaranteed! Chen Yu suggested that Gu Jia separate the tea factory from the village; they couldn't continue managing them so haphazardly, otherwise, there would be two conflicting opinions within one enterprise, which would be detrimental to its development.
Gu Jia certainly understood Chen Yu's meaning. She hadn't thought about it before because the village chief was a very good person and had helped her a lot. But the village chief couldn't stay in power forever, and Gu Jia was considering gradually gaining control of the situation.
Back at the long-abandoned villa, Chen Yu and his two children rested for a whole day before he was finally ready to relax. He visited his father-in-law and parents, recounting his travel experiences, showing them some interesting photos, and buying them souvenirs and rare local specialties. Reassured that they were all in good health, Chen Yu felt relieved.
Life is back on track.
