Chapter 8 Main Characters
Chapter 8 Main Characters
"Ethan, can we sit here?"
The conversation between Lucas and Ethan abruptly stopped as everyone's attention shifted to them. I turned my gaze and saw three charming women walking confidently and gracefully toward the table.
"Ah, Julia...of course..."
'Julia Middleton.' I recalled information about this girl in my mind. She was Lucas's twin sister, Ethan's childhood friend and also a candidate for the first female lead in the game.
Her long, white hair contrasted sharply with her vibrant blue eyes. She possessed an exceptionally refined beauty, radiating a charm that drew the attention of those around her.
I could see the calluses on her hands, a testament to her rigorous training. Contrary to the twins' true appearance, she was a hard-working and ambitious girl.
She has a great figure, and you can see her delicate muscles from her posture.
Normally, she appears somewhat clumsy, has an eccentric personality, and her academic performance is not outstanding, but at least she displays a dignified and elegant demeanor.
"Thank you!" Well, I don't think that's entirely true, because I saw her hand hit Ethan's back.
After she sat down, the other two people behind her also sat down.
The second girl, Irina Phoenix, exudes fiery passion and power, creating a strong atmosphere for the crowd.
Her vibrant red hair cascaded down her back, perfectly complementing her strong personality. Her amber eyes seemed to shimmer with an inner fire, hinting at the immense magical potential she possessed.
Although I hadn't noticed it before, I can now see faint traces of ash flying in her hair, indicating that she had unintentionally used fire magic.
Irina was born into a prestigious family in the Arcadia Territory, a family deeply rooted in this place that values magic, and their surname is synonymous with the magical realm.
She is a highly skilled fire mage, capable of gracefully controlling the fire element. She wields flames with unparalleled power, a destructive yet captivating force that makes her a formidable opponent. Whenever she casts a spell, flames swirl between her fingers, obediently following her every command.
Her personality is as fiery as her fire magic. She is hot-blooded and easily angered, but at the same time, she is passionate about everything she does.
Irina is academically gifted, excels in her studies, and demonstrates keen intelligence and a profound understanding of magical theories, thus earning her the title of "Fire Genius".
She possessed an intense thirst for knowledge, a thirst comparable to her ability to manipulate blazing flames. This drove her to relentlessly explore the mysteries of magic, exceeding people's expectations of her.
Finally, the third girl, Alice Thornfield, possessed a natural beauty that attracted attention wherever she went.
Her striking green hair cascaded gracefully down her back, contrasting sharply with her captivating red eyes, giving her an air of gentle delicacy at first glance. But beneath her soft exterior, I knew she possessed a sharp mind.
Alice stands out among her peers with her intelligence. Her keen observation and analytical skills enable her to quickly analyze situations and formulate effective strategies. Her mind is like a machine, constantly evaluating and calculating the best course of action.
"That's why she's more dangerous than others," I thought to myself, lowering my head slightly to try and make myself invisible. Because of her intelligence, her actions were difficult to predict.
As the heir to Olympus, the future strongest guild, Alice bears a heavy responsibility. Her guild is renowned for its immense power and influence, and its traditions have instilled in her great ambitions since childhood. She is a capable leader, possessing the essential qualities to guide others.
Besides her intelligence, Alice was also a respected figure on campus. Her charm deeply attracted those around her, earning her the title of "Campus Beauty." She was loved by many, not only for her beauty but also for her intelligence and strong character.
Unlike others, she was an elegant girl whose grace was evident in every word, and she always attracted the attention of her classmates.
As the group of six sat down at the table, they attracted whispers and curious glances from their classmates. The conversation was filled with curiosity and speculation.
......
......
As the whispers and speculations continued, I stood up from my seat. I had finished eating, and the cafeteria was gradually filling up with students.
What they're doing right now isn't important to me. After all, I still have tasks to complete.
And so, I went to the training ground again, this time to test the characteristics of my [Moon].
......
"By the way, Ethan, where did you go? I can't find you." Julia asked the blue-haired boy with a smile.
"Um... I'm at the training ground as usual," Ethan replied with an awkward laugh. Dealing with Julia was difficult for him because she would drag Ethan into sparring whenever possible.
“The training ground? I went to check it out, but I didn’t see you,” Julia said, poking at her rice.
“I’m not in the dormitory facilities. I’m using the regular training ground,” Ethan replied unhurriedly, while continuing to eat.
“Oh, I see… But why did you go there? I don’t like training with a bunch of people staring at me. Whenever they’re there watching me, I feel like a monkey in a circus.” Julia expressed her displeasure, her face showing frustration and anger.
The college offers several benefits to high-ranking students, one of which is access to special facilities.
“Julia…you should get used to it…there will be many more similar things in the future.” Lilia replied, taking a graceful bite of her sandwich.
"I know, but it still feels uncomfortable. By the way, why did you go to the multi-purpose training ground?"
"I just felt like I wanted a change of scenery...maybe, I just felt like I wanted to go there."
"Ha, don't tell me you're scared."
"...Yes...I was scared..."
“Julia, have you forgotten how he defeated you in the duel yesterday?” Lucas said with a laugh, mocking his sister.
“Shut up, Lucas,” Julia retorted firmly, ending the banter.
“Tsk tsk, you’re too harsh on your own brother,” Lucas replied sarcastically, feigning victimhood.
“Shut up, will you?!” Julia said, her voice tinged with annoyance.
“Okay, okay.” Lucas agreed, his eyes still sparkling with mischief.
“Oh, right, I saw something different today,” Ethan said, looking up and adding curiously.
“Different? What do you mean?” Julia asked, intrigued by the change in topic.
"You know that quiet guy in our class, right?" Ethan said.
"Who did you say?" Julia pondered, trying hard to recall the person.
“It’s the one who sits at the very back of the class,” Ethan clarified.
“Oh, that loser?” Julia replied dismissively.
“Loser?” Ethan repeated, questioning Julia’s choice of words.
“I mean, that student who was ranked last. What was his name again? Maurice? Mortel?” Julia tried to remember.
“Morse,” Lucas corrected.
“Oh yes, Morse, what happened to him?” Julia asked.
“I just saw him training,” Ethan replied, his tone tinged with curiosity.
"So?" Lucas interjected, his voice sounding uninterested.
"I feel like he's changed, I don't know why... he gives off a very special vibe."
There's a reason Ethan is the protagonist of the game. He possesses extraordinary physical abilities and a keen sixth sense, which allows him to survive many life-or-death situations.
"What's the difference?" The others at the table were unimpressed. After all, everyone at this table had a privileged background and rarely interacted with those of lower status.
"I don't know either... At first, he seemed gloomy, but today he seems to have inexplicably found a goal?"
"Heh, now you're even afraid of the students ranked last?" Lucas sneered, a cold smile playing on his lips.
“No…” Just as Ethan was about to speak, a voice suddenly interrupted their conversation.
“People like Morse shouldn’t even be in our sights. Why are you wasting your time talking about such an insignificant person?” Irina interrupted their conversation, her tone dismissive and her nose twitching.
Her interruption caused a momentary pause, and everyone turned to look at her. Ethan, who had been the peacemaker, was trying to defuse the tension.
“Irina, there’s no need to be so harsh. Morse may have his own reasons, but that doesn’t mean we should completely ignore him,” Ethan said, his voice tinged with reproach.
But before Ethan could continue arguing, Alice spoke in a calm tone.
“Irina is absolutely right, Ethan. We shouldn’t waste our time on someone who clearly lacks the potential to fight alongside us. Our focus should be on our own growth.”
“He…” Just as Ethan was about to continue, Julia interrupted again.
"Let's end this pointless conversation." Under Julia's overwhelming pressure, Ethan decided to end the conversation, and the topic was changed.
