Chapter 54 It's work time now, I need to bring my job duties.
One of the men trying to break up the fight, a bearded man, had just grabbed the tall, muscular man's arm when the man impatiently elbowed him in the chest, causing him to groan in pain.
The bearded man instantly flew into a rage: "Fxxk! Are you crazy?"
The man in the red hat fared even worse; while trying to break up the fight, he was kicked in the knee by the blue-shirted man who was lying on the ground, and stumbled and bumped into the edge of the booth.
The man in the red hat completely lost his initial intention to mediate and rushed forward with his sleeves rolled up.
The situation completely spiraled out of control, turning what was originally a one-on-one fight into a four-person free-for-all.
The sounds of tables and chairs colliding and bottles breaking filled the air, with beer foam and food scraps splattered everywhere.
Just then, a waitress in a red dress, carrying a tray, was hit on the shoulder by a fist that came flying through the chaos before she could dodge. The tray crashed to the ground, and the cups shattered on the floor.
She clutched her shoulder and screamed, "Son of a bitch!"
Lin Ximeng frowned as he watched the chaotic fight unfold before him.
I was originally planning to wait until they calmed down before asking them about Jeremy, but if they kept fighting like this, it would be impossible to get any information out of them.
Lin Ximeng glanced around and muttered to himself: "They've fought like this, surely the security guards should do something about it by now, right?"
Just then, I heard Sharana's voice coming from the direction of the bar: "Security, where's security? Are you slacking off again? You shouldn't let the boss take advantage of you."
"Here I am."
Lin Ximeng turned around and saw the black security guard who had been dozing on the chair by the door slowly stand up, his steps unsteady, and he kept yawning.
As the Black security guard moved toward the scene of the brawl, he mumbled indistinctly, "What's all the noise about... Can't a person get any sleep...?"
Seeing his appearance, Lin Ximeng instantly made a guess:
This person probably took some medicine and hasn't recovered yet after the effects wore off, right?
As Lin Ximeng had expected, the black security guard reached out and tried to separate the people who were wrestling.
But he was weak in his limbs, and as soon as he touched the tall, strong man's arm, the man impatiently pushed him away.
The security guard staggered back two steps, then slammed the back of his head against the corner of the wall with a "thud," collapsing to the ground and passing out.
Seeing this, Sharana couldn't help but complain, "Damn it, smoking tobacco during work hours again. I'm telling the boss later, and he'll fire you."
After complaining, Sharana immediately took out her phone, made a call, and hurriedly said a few words into the receiver.
A moment later, Sharana called out to the bar's patrons, "The boss said that whoever can help calm these people down today can drink here for free for the next week."
Lin Simon thought: If things continue like this, he won't be able to get any information from Jeremy today.
He immediately stood up and walked over to Sharana, asking directly, "Do you have baseball bats in your store?"
Sharana thought for a moment, then nodded: "Yes, wait a moment."
After saying that, he quickly ran to the bar and soon pulled a baseball bat from under the bar and handed it to him.
"Will this work?" Sharana handed the baseball bat to Simon Lin, clearly pinning her hopes on him.
Lin Ximeng reached out and took it, weighing it in his hand. The metal felt heavy, and a cool touch traveled up his fingertips.
He frowned: This is all metal; if you actually swing it, it won't just calm you down.
Lin Ximeng asked, "Do you have any fabric or anything like that here? Could you help me wrap it up?"
"cloth?"
Shalana paused for a moment, her eyes looking around blankly at the scattered debris, when suddenly her eyes lit up as if she had thought of something.
She didn't say much, but bent down slightly, hooked her fingertips on the edge of the black stockings, and gently pulled them down, the stockings sliding down her beautifully shaped legs.
Lin Ximeng then realized that she had originally appeared overly slender, but after removing the mask, she was full with just the right amount of flesh.
Sharana picked up the stockings she had taken off and waved them at Simon: "Will this one work?"
Lin Ximeng nodded: "It's better than nothing."
He deftly wrapped the sock around the head of the baseball bat three times and tied a tight knot.
The metal clubs were cushioned with fabric, which effectively reduced the impact.
After finishing, Lin Ximeng gripped the handle of his stick and walked towards the group of people fighting.

Instead of taking the punch head-on, he slid to the side and dodged it.
With a light touch of his fingertips on the other man's arm, he borrowed some force while the handle of the stick struck the inside of the tall, strong man's wrist with precision.
"hiss!"
The other person cried out in pain, his clenched fist instantly loosened, and he staggered, crashing into the booth behind him, crushing half of the table.
Before he could catch his breath, the beard and red hat rolled over again, tangled together.
Lin Ximeng lightly touched the ground with his toes, using the overturned chair as leverage to leap up and avoid the two pulling each other.
At the same time, use the stick to block horizontally.
With a loud thud, their chests separated, and they each took a few steps back, crashing into a pile of scattered bottles, splashing wine everywhere.
Then Lin Ximeng struck each of them with a stick, his movements clean and swift, causing them to writhe on the ground in pain.
Before the others could react, he had already circled behind the man in the blue shirt and struck him on the back with a stick, knocking him to the ground.
In just over ten seconds, the chaotic fight was quelled. The four workers, clutching their aches and pains, stood frozen in place, too stunned to move.
Seeing this, the waitress in the red dress, clutching her still throbbing shoulder, came over, tugged at Sharana's arm, and asked curiously in a low voice, "Is this your customer?"
Sharana glanced at her, and seeing her eyes light up and her infatuated expression, she instantly became wary, raising an eyebrow and asking, "What?"
The woman in the red dress made no attempt to hide her expression, licking her lips and smiling:
"Next time he comes, can I entertain him?"
Didn't you see how he acted just now?
The muscles in those arms were so hard, I wonder what it would feel like to touch them!
Sharana rolled her eyes and snorted irritably, "Hmph, go find it yourself."
After the fight subsided, the four workers calmed down, their faces bruised and swollen. They sat back down in their booths, still glaring at each other and whispering insults, their voices full of resentment.
Seeing this, Simon Lin gently shook the baseball bat, and the metal bat made a dull sound as it collided.
"You all better behave yourselves," he said calmly, but his eyes still held the ferocity from the fight.
"Whoever I ask will answer my question. If anyone interrupts or talks nonsense, or if I don't understand, I'll type another paragraph until you understand."
Upon hearing this, the group immediately shut their mouths and lowered their heads dejectedly.
Lin Ximeng's gaze swept over the four men, finally settling on the bearded man. He raised an eyebrow slightly: "Have we met before?"
The bearded man looked up at him for a moment, his eyes shifting from confusion to hesitation, before hesitantly speaking, "Is it Caroline, sir? We met a few days ago at the docks."
"Oh, it's you."
Simon Lin paused for a moment, then remembered that it was the recipient of the beer order he had delivered for Max before.
Upon seeing this, the bearded man's face lit up with joy, and he was about to step forward and speak, "Mr. Caroline..."
"That's my nickname," Simon Lin said, tapping the table lightly with his baseball bat. "It's working hours now, so I need to be on duty, Mr. Horus, the security guard."
