My husband is too wild, I need to go home and find my mom.

Chapter 60: What can be said about the Beast God?

Chapter 60: What can be said about the Beast God?

Although it was strange, no one seemed to be lying about Ye, and such a self-defeating lie was pointless to repeat.

Yan asked curiously, "Where is the blood coming from?"

Ye used her snake tail to pull Yan into the cave: "Why do you need to know so much?" Then she whispered in a voice that only Feng and Yao could hear.

Yao and Feng exchanged a glance, and Feng said, "Could it be a special case that only women are born with?"

The three men nodded in unison: It should be.

Seeing them huddled together discussing her, Lin Ni blushed and went to take a shower.

Aside from the bonfire party held every ten days, the tiger-beast tribe had no nightlife. The beastmen were accustomed to working at sunrise and resting at sunset. Lighting consisted only of torches, bonfires, and the moon. Of course, with four moons in the sky, it was quite bright in the wild. Because of the lack of lighting, Linni also had to follow the sunrise-to-sunset rhythm. After taking a bath, Linni prepared to go back to her room to rest. Before entering, she said to Yan, "Yan, be careful when you go out on patrol."

Yan nodded and said, "I will."

Linni smiled and said to him, "Goodnight, Yan!"

Yan said happily, "Lin, goodnight!" Goodnight has already been given, so how far away can a kiss be?

Lin Ni thought for a moment, then turned back and said, "Feng, goodnight!"

Feng looked at her with some surprise and replied, "Good night!"

After returning to her room, Linni leaned against the windowsill and looked up at the bright white moon, which seemed even brighter and larger than before. There were clouds in the sky, and a light rain began to fall. It had been raining at night lately, but the daytime weather was quite pleasant; autumn was indeed the perfect season for hunting.

The discovery that there are no stars in the sky over the Orc Continent sparked a series of speculations from Linni, but the truth remains unknown.

Linni gazed at the stars, lost in thought, while waiting for Yao and Ye to return. Soon after, Yao and Ye entered one after the other. Linni turned to look at them and softly called out, "Yao."

Hearing her soft, sweet voice, which sounded like both a coquettish plea and a heart full of grievances, Yao quickly strode over and hugged her, stroked her smooth, long hair, and then lowered his head to kiss her forehead, asking softly, "Were you frightened?"

Lin Ni shook her head and snuggled into his arms.

Yao kissed her hair again and whispered in her ear, "I didn't mean to say that about you, I was just afraid that Feng would misunderstand you."

Lin Ni nodded: "I know. Yao, thank you!" If Yao hadn't explained it to her in detail, she really would have kept quiet because she was shy. Feng would definitely have feelings for Ye, and she almost planted a thorn in their hearts.

"No need to thank me," Yao gently patted her back.

Linni lifted her head from his embrace and kissed his red lips. The two hugged and kissed for a while before lying down in each other's arms.

Ye knew there were many secrets between them that others didn't know, but she didn't ask (mainly because when she did ask, she didn't tell him). She just watched them silently, content to be able to stay by their side.

The three of them lay there for a while without speaking. Lin Ni, having slept a little too much in the afternoon, felt a pang of guilt and then decided to talk to Yao. She glanced at Yao, saw his eyes were closed, and assumed he was asleep from hunting fatigue, so she silently lowered her head again. Suddenly, she heard Yao ask softly, "What's wrong?"

Linni looked up at him happily: "You're not asleep?"

"I thought you were asleep." Yao looked at her energetic appearance, not sleepy at all, and couldn't help but laugh: "Did you sleep too much this afternoon, so you can't sleep?"

"Mmm!" Linni snuggled against him, hugging him tightly. "You went hunting today, was it safe?"

Yao smiled and said, "No, look at me, I'm perfectly fine. What about you? What did you do today?"

"I went to the trade fair today, it was so lively!" Lin Ni said excitedly. "I saw so many spices, I'll go exchange some tomorrow and then we can improve our meals!"

Yao nodded and said, "Okay."

Lin Ni thought about the food she could make, and her mouth started to water. She had been eating meat soup and roast meat for a while and was getting a little tired of it. Then she thought of the delicious food in China and couldn't help but sigh.

"Why are you sighing?" Yao asked again.

Linni, with her quick wit, suddenly asked, "Do you think the Beast God is a glutton?"

"Foodie?" Yao clearly didn't know what that word meant.

Linni smiled and said, "I've heard that the Beast God is omnipresent."

Yao hummed in agreement.

Linni: "Is the Beast God like—" She wanted to say that it was as omnipresent as air, but she couldn't say it.

“What does it look like?” Yao asked.

Linni persisted, trying a different approach: "Is the Beast God—" a gigantic beastman? But why couldn't she bring herself to say it?

"What is it?"

Linni exclaimed in amazement, "So what Aya from the Ape Beast Tribe said was true: everything about the Beast God can only be understood intuitively, not explained in words!"

Yao watched her quietly, waiting for her to come to her own understanding.

Lin Ni thought for a while. No wonder everyone was silent during the prayers. Was it really that magical? But why could everyone say that the Beast God was omnipresent? So what could be said, and what couldn't? She couldn't help but ask, "Yao, does the Beast God have a name?"

Yao said softly, "I don't know either."

Oh, I forgot for a moment that Yao is a beastman who doesn't even know his own beast form. He seems to know everything, but in reality, he seems to know nothing at all.

Linni then asked, "Is the Beast God male or female?"

Ye suddenly said, "Lin, it's best not to talk about the Beast God."

Linni turned to look at him: "Ye, did I wake you up?"

Ye mumbled, "No." He hadn't been able to sleep at all; the two people next to him were constantly talking, and as an orc with excellent hearing, it was no wonder he couldn't fall asleep.

What Linni didn't know was that several male beasts in the cave had actually been silently listening to them talk the whole time.

Linni asked again, "Night, the Beast God is great, silently protecting the Beastman continent, right?" The question wasn't important; what mattered was what could be said.

Night nodded and said, "The Beast God favors females. You can easily sense the power of the Beast God, but males cannot. However, everything about the Beast God is unspeakable, lest you blaspheme the Beast God."

“Okay.” Linni then closed her eyes and silently began meditating on the Beast God.

Once her breathing had gradually calmed down and they were sure she was asleep, the others in the cave closed their eyes and went to sleep.

The next day, when Linni woke up, she clearly felt that she was alone on the heated kang (a traditional heated brick bed). Had Yao gone hunting again? Linni felt a little disappointed. She loved waking up in his arms, being carefully cared for and cherished by him; it felt wonderful. But he obviously had his own things to do. If he just stayed with her without doing anything, Feng and the others might have something to say about him. But people's hearts are biased, and she was particularly fond of Yao. Linni stretched helplessly, then rolled around on the kang a few times: "This kang they made is so big, it's quite comfortable."
