’They’re already living in stone houses. If they wanted a closer look, they could just press their faces against their own walls and no one would care. Why did they have to come into the tribe for that?’

’You can tell just by looking at this guy that he’s up to no good.’

The System’s chubby little head squeezed out of Wu Yue’s satchel. It gave its Dog Host’s hand a very unfriendly scratch. "Dog Host, if you’re going to curse a beast, curse a beast. Why do you have to drag me into it?"

Wu Yue glanced down at the System, its furry face etched with displeasure. She cleared her throat and looked away. ’Nope, didn’t hear a thing.’

"Do you really need to come all the way into our tribe to see stone houses? Aren’t you living in stone houses right now?"

Grandma Hua Shu snorted, her eyes filled with contempt as she looked at the Scorpion Beastman. ’This whelp is still too young. He doesn’t even think through his lies.’

At the thought, she puffed out her chest with pride. ’When *I* lie, no one ever sees through it. My own son falls for it every single time.’

Across from her, Yuan Lang saw his Amu’s sly grin and felt a sudden, inexplicable chill run down his spine.

Before the Scorpion Beastman could speak, a familiar, gentle voice drifted in from outside the courtyard. "Grandma, that’s not quite right. How can the stone houses we’re living in compare to the ones inside the tribe? The Scorpion Captain probably just wants to come in and see these more beautiful houses."

It was the witch from the Yan Yan Tribe. As usual, she was flanked by several Beastman Warriors, her head held so high she resembled a rooster crowing at dawn.

She gave off a real "I’m the best in the world" vibe.

The Snow Tiger Tribe Leader turned to look at the Yan Yan’s Tribe Witch, his expression unchanging.

This witch might be respected in her own tribe, but in the Snow Tiger Tribe, she was nothing more than a Witch Disciple with meager witch power.

He stood up at once. "Since you want to see our tribe’s stone houses, you can look around my courtyard. Forget about anyone else’s home, lest you get yourselves captured again."

Scorpion Beastman Captain: "..."

’Ouch, that stings,’ he thought. ’I just wanted to hit on a few of the young females. What’s with all this talk about getting captured? So unfriendly.’

’Can’t a guy even flex his charming personality a little?’

A flicker of annoyance passed through the Yan Yan’s Tribe Witch’s eyes. She shot a discreet, disgusted glance at the sullen-faced Scorpion Beastman Captain beside her.

’If she hadn’t seen his beast form in battle on the way here, she’d suspect he was part pig.’

’She’d told him to go flirt with a young female, and he’d ended up getting captured instead. Now that the Snow Tiger Tribe knew their real objective was the stone houses, they would be even more vigilant.’

’All brawn and no brains. He didn’t even get to see a single strand of a female’s hair before he was found out.’

She seethed internally, but the witch showed none of it on her face. Hearing what the Snow Tiger Tribe Leader said, she even managed to look pleasantly surprised.

She cast a regretful glance at Wu Yue before speaking. "Actually, I’ve wanted to see your tribe’s beautiful stone houses for a long time. I even mentioned it to your Witch Disciple, but..."

A dejected look appeared on her face. "But... she doesn’t seem to like me, so she wasn’t willing to take me. I never expected to get the Clan Leader’s permission to have a look today. This is wonderful."

Wu Yue nodded with a very grave expression. "It means she wants to have cubs with you."

The Beastmen all recoiled in unison, and their gazes toward the Yan Yan’s Tribe Witch were now filled with deep suspicion.

The Yan Yan’s Tribe Witch’s expression stiffened when she heard the word "chastity." Then, with a resentful look, her eyes shifted from Wu Yue... to Yuan Lang, who was standing beside her.

She then said, somewhat awkwardly, "I have so many of my own Beastman Warriors with me. Why would I be staring lecherously at your tribe’s Beastman Warriors? Heh."
