Chapter 652: Half Certain Understanding.

The feeling of having his understanding constantly updated was good, but it also made him uncertain if what he just understood was the correct thing or if it was wrong, like the many understandings that he had previously.

It can be said that if there is one thing that he can be certain of, it is that his current understanding is wrong. Fortunately, this isn’t the only thing that he is certain of.

"The other thing I can be half certain of is the state of Branch Metacs, Core Metacs, and Divine Metacs. It is certain that every Metac is an instruction.

"If I were to put it another way, Metacs are similar to lines of code. The Supreme Metac is the program. So Metacs make up the Supreme Metac like lines of code make up a computer program."

Then he shook his head and said, "As for what the programming language is, I don’t know. I only have an inkling of the form or format of the code."

"Branch Metac is a single character. It is more like a line drawn on a piece of paper. The line doesn’t have to be straight. It can be curved, and it can be squiggly, but it is a single-dimensional instruction."

"In a computer program, a Branch Metac will be a single word in a line of code. This word will be made of bits of ones and zeroes. In a Branch Metac, the bits will be the way the line curves. The ones and zeroes will be the amplitude and wavelength of the rising and falling curves in the line."

"The amplitude, wavelength, and curvature of the line determine exactly what the Branch Metac does. These three things can be called the properties of a line. They are what differentiates one line from another line."

"Next are the Core Metacs. They are shapes. They are complete 2-dimensional shapes."

"Each Core Metac has notices along its perimeter that the lines of a specific kind of Branch Metacs can fit into. This is why Branch Metacs of a Pathway can only flow into the Core Metac of that Pathway, not just any Core Metac."

"In a computer program, Core Metacs will be the instructions for logical operations, data structures, variables, looping statements, conditional statements, and algorithms. This is why Branch Metacs can’t be used on their own and why they need a Core Metac to tell them how to function."

"Lastly, there are the Divine Metacs. Divine Metacs are still 2-dimensional shapes, but they are complicated structures that contain all of the core structures."

"It is how core Core Metacs are shaped like circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, and pentagons. They are simple shapes that can be drawn in a single stroke from beginning to end. They also possess only one face."

"Divine Metacs are also shapes. But they are made up of small shapes combined together. The shapes of Metacs are not regular, and they have many lines across them that demarcate them into smaller components. So they possess more than one face."

"Therefore, a Core Metac can only contain one algorithmic component. But a Divine Metac can contain many algorithmic components, many logical operations, and many data structures."

"This complexity is why Divine Metacs can be combined. They have everything they need within them to work with another kind of Divine Metac. They are flexible and can use the components of other Divine Metacs for their function."

The Supreme Metac is made of these three things, so by observing the Supreme Metac, he can understand what they are. But this is only his understanding of the pathway. It is the mental image of the Supreme Metac that he was able to make.

As for whether his mental image is correct, that is uncertain. But he can be sure that other divine beings will have their own kind of understanding.

After thinking about this understanding again, he nodded in satisfaction and said, "That should be at least 50% correct. Branch Metacs make up Core Metacs, and Core Metacs make up Divine Metacs. Then Divine Metacs make up the Supreme Metac."

"Supreme Metacs are the only ones that are three-dimensional. They are polyhedra that possess surface area as well as volume. Every Supreme Metac has a different shape, different volume, different kinds of instruction."

Then he nodded and said, "As for why there can only be one Divine Metac, that has to do with the absence of redundancy in the Supreme Metac."

"Two Divine Metacs of the same kind have to occupy the same space within the Supreme Metac. The Supreme Metac can’t have two copies of the same code, so one copy will be scrapped."

"The Supreme Metac decides which Divine Metac to keep and which to scrap by identifying which one is closer to it. The closer a Divine Metac is to the Supreme Metac and the more active it is, the more the Supreme Metac will prioritize it."

"So, in case two Divine Metacs of the same kind ever existed, the Supreme Metac will always prioritize a rank 7 Divine Metac over a rank 6 Divine Metac of the same kind. But this is for a single pathway."

This got him thinking about the possibility of two pathways having identical Divine Metacs. When this possibility went through his mind, he shook his head and said, "Two identical Divine Metacs cannot exist in two pathways because each pathway is fundamentally different."

"The Branch Metacs of two pathways are fundamentally different, and so are the Core Metacs. That means, there can’t be the same Divine Metac in two or more pathways."

"But if, for some reason, an identical Divine Metac exists in more than one pathway, the identical Divine Metacs will be allowed to exist. This is because each Divine Metac will have a separate space for them in the different Supreme Metacs."

Just as he said that, the Insight Star picked up on law fragments and their influence on a pathway. What he saw made his eyes widen in surprise.
