Chapter 256: Sixth Order Demonized Monster.
"Demon Subduing Alliance."
Noah’s expression shifted slightly. He had never heard of this organization.
There were numerous factions and organization of all kinds in the Civilization Convergence Zone, and Noah hadn’t looked into them in detail. He had only entered the Civilization Convergence Zone a total of three times, and each time his schedule had been packed.
Moreover, he had no intention of joining any fore, so he naturally hadn’t paid much attention to them.
"Respected sir, we should leave as quickly as possible. That item from earlier can hide our tracks for at most ten minutes," Freya reminded him.
"Let’s go."
Noah didn’t hesitate and immediately led Freya and others away at high speed.
The light screen centered around Freya moved along with her.
Ten minutes later, they were already far way from the World Shard where the Demonized Lionmen had been located.
"Sir, we are preparing to return to the Central Continent. Would you like to come with us?"
With such a powerful 6th Order expert accompanying them, their return journey would be much safer.
More importantly, if they could recruit Noah to the Demon Subduing Alliance, they would gain significant benefits as well.
Under the terrifying pressure of the Remnant World, the Demon Subduing Alliance was desperate for talented individuals.
As long as a person’s identity was not suspicious, they welcomed all Awakeners and cultivators to join.
"Central Continent?"
Noah didn’t pretend to understand and directly asked about it.
"The Central Continent refers to that continent," Freya explained while pointing toward the distant landmass. "The Remnant World is boundless, but its core lies on the Central Continent.
"There are countless 6th-Order and 7th-Order Demonized Monsters there, and even Abyssal Demons.
"Outside the Central Continent are the Inner Sea and the Outer Sea.
"The Inner Sea contains large World Shard clusters led by 6th-Order World Shards, while the Outer Sea only contains small World Shard clusters led by 5th-Order World Shards.
"Our current location is in the Outer Sea, at least a thousand light-years away from the Central Continent."
Hearing this, Noah took a sharp breath.
A thousand light-years?
No wonder he had flown for so long without seeing any sign of getting closer.
Not to mention that he couldn’t even exceed a hundred times the speed of sound. Even if he flew at full speed, it would still take tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of years.
"How did you get here?" Noah asked.
It was obvious that Freya and the others were not faster than him.
"By teleportation array, of course," Freya replied.
"The Demon Subduing Alliance has established a total of ten teleportation arrays in the Outer Sea to aid civilizations invaded by Outer Sea Demonized Monsters.
"We can use the teleportation arrays to travel to the Inner Sea, and then teleport again to the Central Continent."
Noah was naturally no stranger to teleportation arrays.
He possessed ten large teleportation arrays himself, but those arrays could only be used within a planet, and their teleportation range was limited.
Crossing light-years was simply impossible with them.
The teleportation arrays Freya mentioned were on a completely different level from the ones Noah possessed.
"Then let’s travel together."
Since there was a shortcut, Noah naturally had no intention of flying aimlessly.
According to his understanding, destroying a Disaster did not require destroying every single place within it. One only needed to obliterate the Disaster Will.
Just like with the previous Small Calamity, Noah had severely damaged the Black Planet before destroying the Disaster Will, which caused the entire Calamity World to collapse on its own.
As for the Remnant World, the key to destroying its Disaster Will was most likely located on the Central Continent.
Noah also wanted to learn more about the worlds neighboring his own.
Along the way, Noah exchanged information with Freya.
Out of gratitude for Noah saving her life, Freya basically told him everything she knew and was permitted to reveal.
Once an Awakened World was targeted by the Remnant World, a connection would form between the two worlds.
The growth of the Awakened World, the arrival of Transcendent Aura, and other changes could not be hidden from the Disaster Will.
Although its judgment could not be extremely precise, it would still determine the intensity of the Disaster unleashed based on the strength of the Awakened World.
Generally speaking, the first invasion of a world, which usually manifested as a Ghost-Level Calamity, would occur in the Outer Sea and be carried out by Outer Sea Demonized Monsters.
If the invasion failed, the Disaster Will would increase the intensity of the next Disaster.
For an Ordinary Awakened World targeted by a Human-Level Calamity, the invasion would most likely still originate from the Outer Sea, led by Demonized Monsters from 5th-Order Disaster Shards. The invading monsters in both Disasters would also not differ too much.
However, if an Awakened World displayed exceptional strength, the invasion mission would likely be transferred to Demonized Monsters from the Inner Sea, who would launch a far more intense Human-Level Calamity.
Furthermore, if the Awakened World proved to be unexpectedly powerful, the invasion mission could even be handed over to the Demonized Monsters of the Central Continent.
"It seems searching for the Merman tribe’s territory is meaningless," Noah said with a slight shake of his head.
The Outer Sea was simply too vast, making it incredibly difficult to locate the Merman tribe.
Moreover, even if he managed to find them, it would likely be useless.
Noah believed that when Blue Star’s Human-Level Calamity descended, the invasion would most likely be launched by Demonized Monsters from the Inner Sea, or perhaps even the Central Continent.
There was no way Noah could kill every Demonized Monster in the Inner Sea and the Central Continent.
Fortunately, the teleportation array was not too far away.
After all, if the journey had taken too long, Freya and the others would never have accepted this mission.
Just then, the malice surrounding the five of them suddenly intensified.
"Not good. The Disaster Will has found us!" Freya’s expression changed drastically.
"It seems our earlier actions caused too much disturbance, which drew the Disaster Will’s attention. That’s why it never stopped searching for us."
"What will it do?" Noah asked in a deep voice.
