Chapter 1964 - 1962: The Creature Inside the Sedan Chair

"Hmph, who do you think you are? We two scrutinize all entries. If we don’t allow it, you won’t get in!" snorted the dog-headed human guard.

"Then how can we get in?" the Flying Little Leopard chimed in.

"Well, that’s easy. Just present a Spiritual Medicine Divine Grass, and we’ll consider it!" the dog-headed human guard said with a sneering grin.

"What if I don’t have one?" Ye Tianchen asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Don’t have one? Hmph, then the gates of East Continent City will remain shut to you!" the dog-headed human guard said arrogantly.

Ye Tianchen was ready to teach these two dog-headed human guards a lesson. Clearly, they were making it difficult for newcomers deliberately. Ye Tianchen frowned but did not respond. Instead, he addressed the dog-headed human guard, "You see, if you don’t let us pass, those behind us cannot, either."

"You, you, you... You really have no fear! Do you know who’s in that sedan?" The arrogant dog-headed human guard, upon seeing the sedan, spoke, terrified and trembling.

"I don’t know. All I know is I’m in line ahead. If you don’t let me pass, those behind me can’t, either," Ye Tianchen said with a smile.

"You kid are doomed, doomed!" The dog-headed human guard said, trembling with fear, as he hurried over to the sedan, smiling obsequiously, seemingly explaining something.

At this moment, some creatures entering and leaving the East Continent city were starting to point at Ye Tianchen, with looks that seemed to view him as a dead man, although Ye Tianchen didn’t care. Coming here, he never intended to show weakness, for that would only make others think less of him. How could someone perceived as weak ever secure the benefits they seek in this brutal, blood-soaked, and savage Forbidden Land?

"Hey, come over here and be a chopping block for our master!" commanded the man-headed snake-bodied demon beast leading the way to Ye Tianchen.

"Chopping block? Do you mean a cutting board? I wouldn’t mind stewing your master and eating him!" Ye Tianchen replied with a calm smile.

"How dare you! Ignorant Human Clan Practitioner, this is no place for you to make trouble!" The man-headed snake-bodied demon beast did not expect Ye Tianchen to be so aggressive, not even sparing a thought for their master, and immediately intended to rush over and teach Ye Tianchen a lesson.

"Hold it!"

Suddenly, a powerful aura burst forth from the sedan chair, startling the surrounding demon beasts, causing them to hastily retreat. If struck by this powerful aura, they would be severely wounded if not killed, and the target of this aura was naturally Ye Tianchen.

The two man-headed snake-bodied demon beasts carried the sedan chair away. Ye Tianchen didn’t know what kind of creature was inside the sedan chair, but he knew it was strong. Surely, it wasn’t weak, not someone to be underestimated. Nevertheless, he absolutely wouldn’t be afraid; if he were afraid, he wouldn’t have come to this Barbaric Forbidden Land, nor would he insist on entering this East Continent city!

After the sedan chair entered the city, Ye Tianchen spoke to the group, "Let’s go in too!"

"Boss, the creature inside the sedan chair was very strong!" remarked the Flying Little Leopard, frowning.

"Yes, we backed off because of our beastly instinct, sensing the aura of danger!" The youth from the Black Sky Cat Clan nodded.

"Perhaps, Brother Ye, you didn’t sense it because you’re Human Clan, but our Demon Clan’s sense of aura is very sensitive. The guy inside the sedan chair must be a fierce character!" said the burly man from the Divine Power Pangolin Clan.

"We have to be careful; it surely won’t let us go!" The young girl from the Immortal Deer Descendant Clan nodded thoughtfully.

Ye Tianchen nodded; he hadn’t realized, but the reason the Flying Little Leopards dispersed in an instant was because they sensed the killing intent or perhaps the aura of dominance among demon beasts. It seemed the creature inside the sedan chair was exceptionally powerful; just its aura was enough to make the Flying Little Leopards and the others back down—it was certainly not simple.

"Let’s go, let’s check inside first!" Ye Tianchen casually smiled, ignoring the surrounding demon beasts who were still pointing and gesturing, as he headed directly towards the city gate.

"You... you actually want to go in?" The dog-headed humanoid guard asked with extreme surprise.

"Why? Can’t I go in?" Ye Tianchen retorted.

"No, no, you can, definitely, since someone with great influence has spoken on your behalf, how dare we stop you. It’s just that your fearless spirit, we truly admire it!" chuckled the other dog-headed humanoid guard wickedly.

"Well, maybe I’ll really stew that thing inside the sedan chair to eat it!" Ye Tianchen chuckled blandly as he stepped towards the city within the Barbaric Forbidden Land of the East Continent...
