Reborn: I Stock Up and Bully the Trash to Dominate the Apocalypse

Chapter 402

Chapter 402

Qi Mingyu sat up in surprise when he saw her wake up.

The stubble from the night's unshaved beard appeared, making him look a little haggard, and his voice was a little hoarse: "Wanwan, you're finally awake! How do you feel? Are you feeling unwell?"

Zhou Shuwan smiled slightly, shook his head, and said in a weak voice: "I'm fine, just a little tired."

She looked around and saw that the sky outside was getting slightly brighter. She didn't know whether it was the light of the snow or the sunrise.

The room was filled with a faint aroma of mugwort.

She asked, "How long have I slept?"

"It's been a whole night." Qi Mingyu said with a hint of relief in his tone. He poured another cup of warm water and handed it to her. "It's just dawn now."

Zhou Shuwan took the water cup, drank a few sips to moisten his dry throat, and asked, "Where are Mom and Dad and Mu Mu? How are they?"

"Everything is getting better." Qi Mingyu said softly, "Mumu was very energetic last night and wanted to come see you, but we were all worried about a recurring infection, so we didn't let him in. He was very upset."

Zhou Shuwan smiled and finally felt relieved.

She struggled to sit up, and Qi Mingyu quickly supported her and put a pillow behind her so that she could lean more comfortably.

"Are you hungry?" Qi Mingyu asked with a gentle look in his eyes. "I'll get you something to eat."

Zhou Shuwan nodded: "I'm a little hungry."

However, Qi Mingyu didn't need to go to the kitchen. She took out a small bowl and a small plate from the space. It was a small bowl of millet porridge and a small plate of pickled cucumbers.

She just felt that her mouth had no taste and wanted to eat something flavorful.

Qi Mingyu handed the millet porridge to Zhou Shuwan's mouth and fed her carefully.

A smile flashed across Zhou Shuwan's eyes. She opened her mouth obediently and drank the porridge in small sips. The warmth spread from her stomach, making her feel much more comfortable.

But the pickled cucumbers may not have enough flavor and taste bland.

After finishing the porridge, Qi Mingyu went to the kitchen and brought back a bowl of mugwort water: "Drink this too."

Zhou Shuwan frowned slightly, pinched his nose and drank the medicine with a strong smell of mugwort.

After putting down the bowl, she smacked her lips and said, "How strange! The mugwort doesn't taste that bitter this time."

"You are sick now and have no taste in your mouth. But it has its benefits. It won't prevent you from taking medicine." Qi Mingyu smiled and tucked the quilt for her again.

Illness comes like a mountain down, sickness goes like a thread.

Zhou Shuwan felt exhausted all over, so she asked Qi Mingyu to help her get a set of clean pajamas and change into them.

Then lie down and rest.

"You should go and rest for a while." She turned to look at Qi Mingyu, a hint of worry in her tone, "You've been enduring this whole week, be careful not to let your body take it."

Qi Mingyu smiled and nodded, then sat down beside her and held her hand: "Okay, I'll sleep after you fall asleep."

Zhou Shuwan didn't have the energy to carry him, so he told him to get more rest, then closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

Qi Mingyu looked at her tenderly.

He was indeed very tired, but now that Wanwan needed him, he would definitely stick to it and be happy to do it.

When I woke up again, the sun was shining outside the window and the room was warm.

Zhou Shuwan felt relaxed all over and his symptoms were much lighter, except that his throat was still a little dry and his body felt a little weak.

Qi Mingyu was no longer in the room. Zhou Shuwan called out, and then heard Qi Mingyu's voice coming from the living room: "Wanwan, are you awake? How do you feel?"

Zhou Shuwan responded, got up from the bed and went to the living room.

Grandma Pang was sitting on the sofa, watching cartoons with Mu Mu. Both of them were wearing masks and looked in good spirits.

Zhou Jianghai and Zhong Tiyun were busy in the kitchen preparing lunch.

The whole family was very happy to see Zhou Shuwan come out.

"Wanwan, why did you get out of bed? How do you feel?" Zhong Tiyun quickly put down the work in her hands, walked over to her, and asked with concern, "Are you still feeling uncomfortable?"

Zhou Shuwan smiled and shook his head, then coughed twice as soon as he opened his mouth.

"It's cold outside, go back to the house quickly. You and Xiaoyu took care of us before and are tired. Now we will take care of you." Zhong Tiyun said hurriedly.

Zhou Shuwan knew that her family cared about her, so she had no choice but to go back to her bedroom.

Qi Mingyu had just gone to the bathroom to help her wash clothes. When he saw her wake up, he wiped his hands and hung the clothes to dry. Then he hurried back to the bedroom and scolded her, "Why did you get out of bed? You need to get some rest. It's cold outside, and what will happen if the wind blows again?"

Zhou Shuwan let out a sigh, "I've slept for a whole day and night, and my bones ache if I lie down for a while longer."

Seeing her resentful look, Qi Mingyu couldn't help but smile and rub her fluffy head: "I know, then just move around in the house and don't dare to go out, okay?"

The tone was as if he was coaxing her like a child.

Zhou Shuwan didn't show it on her face, but in her heart she really enjoyed his pampering and love.

She held his hand affectionately and walked around the room a few times.

The dinner was very sumptuous, but Zhou Shuwan had no appetite and could not taste anything. She then realized that her sense of taste was impaired, just like her father's symptoms.

She was a little distressed, but the aftereffects of the virus could only be recovered slowly over time.

Qi Mingyu has a good physical condition and high immunity, and has never had symptoms such as fever.

Half a month later, Zhou Jianghai and his family had almost recovered.

Except for the loss of taste, everything else about Zhou Shuwan has returned to normal.

But to be on the safe side, Zhou Shuwan still insists on fumigating the house with mugwort to disinfect it every day, and the whole family also insists on drinking water boiled with mugwort.

Not all of the first people infected with the virus at the base were so lucky.

Those with weak constitutions and lack of medicine died painfully from high fever and severe coughing, accounting for as much as one-third of the number of people infected at the base.

These corpses are difficult to deal with in the ice and snow.

Xiao Xiao had no choice but to order gasoline to be poured on the bodies and burned to reduce the spread of the virus.

Since the extreme cold, people have rarely seen such large flames.

The gorgeous flames in the sky are like a magnificent farewell poem.

The families of the deceased patients stood there silently, bidding silent farewell to their loved ones.

Most of the remaining two-thirds of the infected people were lucky enough to survive because of the batch of mugwort sent anonymously by Zhou Shuwan.

Although the base has always required people to wear masks when entering and leaving, this is ultimately just a drop in the bucket.

In a confined space like a factory, where a large number of people gather together and air circulation is poor, the speed at which the virus spreads is beyond imagination.

Almost 90% of the people are infected with the Puras virus, and only a very small number of people are not infected because of their special physical conditions or because they pay extra attention to protection.

Zhou Shuwan looked at the snowflakes still flying outside the window and sighed softly.

In her previous life, when the Puras virus was rampant, she had to stay in bed for a whole month before recovering due to lack of medicine and treatment. Her body was broken down, and in the following years, she was always weak and had colds and coughs.

Later, Lin Youyang and Wu Shanshan had the opportunity to take advantage of it.
