Chapter 1260: Won all of their underwear
Chapter 1260: Won all of their underwear
The fifth card was revealed, a six. Murdoch called again, hesitated for a moment, and then pushed out the remaining chips.
"I've bet everything."
The onlookers immediately exclaimed that the total value of the hand was over a million pounds. They had never seen such a high-stakes gamble before, and they were all terrified, as if they were the ones playing the cards.
Da Bao still had that lazy smile, leaning back in his chair, picked up 300,000 chips, didn't count them, and threw them on the table. Arthur, standing next to him, was stomping his feet in frustration. Murdoch had clearly gotten a flush, and Da Bao only had four sixes to beat him.
Murdoch's eyes lit up. He slowly flipped over the cards and then burst into laughter.
"AK flush, I won."
As he spoke, he stood up and reached out to grab the chips. Da Bao picked up a hundred-dollar chip, flicked it lightly with his finger, and hit Murdoch right on the forehead. Murdoch was knocked back by the chip and sat down in his chair.
Dabao curled his lips and said contemptuously.
"How can you be so shameless? Who said you won?"
He suddenly slammed his cards down.
"I have four sixes, can't I beat your flush?"
Arthur, Desley, and Susanna cheered simultaneously. This was incredibly exciting! Nowhere in all of Europe had there been such a high-stakes gamble—five hundred thousand pounds for a single hand!
Murdoch's face darkened. He sat blankly in his chair, staring at the playing cards in front of him. The four small sixes seemed so dazzling. Not only him, but even Locke was dumbfounded.
Arthur helped Da Bao collect all the chips, and Da Bao picked up a 10,000 chip and tossed it to the waiter.
"Here's your tip."
The sheer generosity of the gesture nearly made the waiter kneel down and kowtow to Da Bao. Everyone present, men and women alike, looked at Da Bao with the same fervent enthusiasm…
"Merck said through gritted teeth."
"Come again!"
He tore off another traveler's check and gave it to the people on the ship.
Da Bao shrugged, not caring, it was all free money anyway...
Two hours later, the entire casino on the ship was completely silent, except for the crisp sound of Da Bao's chips clinking together.
The Garcia brothers were ashen-faced. In just two hours, they had not only lost all of the Garcia family's wealth, but also 1,500 acres of ranch, two castles, three estates, five shops in France, and a villa on Mayfair Street in London.
The chips in front of Da Bao were piled up like a mountain, eight million chips, which were exchanged for more than sixty traveler's checks. It seemed that he was still a little unsatisfied. Da Bao smacked his lips and shook his head.
"A poor man is a poor man, that's all the wealth he has. It's really boring. Anyone else want to play? But let's make it clear first, if you don't have more than ten million pounds, don't call yourself a rich man. You can't afford to lose face."
Don't be fooled by Da Bao's current sycophantic and sarcastic remarks; to those nobles and wealthy people, they hear it like the voice of God, and they absolutely love listening to it.
One of the nobles murmured.
"My goodness, in all of Europe right now, besides those twenty-odd old families, who is richer than him?"
Upon hearing this, everyone went wild, pulling out their business cards and swarming towards Da Bao. Da Bao told them to put all their cards on the card table, and he said arrogantly,
"I don't make many friends. I believe that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to friends. In Europe, in addition to my very good friends, I will make ten more friends. If any of you think you are qualified to be my friend, please put down your business cards. When we get to France, I will treat you to a meal."
Upon hearing Da Bao's words, most people silently put away their business cards. They didn't have the nerve to befriend someone so incredibly wealthy.
Only three business cards remained at the scene. They belonged to Sir Felda, son of Prince Frederick, the younger brother of King Edward VIII of Denmark; Metzel, nephew of Archduke Henry of Luxembourg; and Henry Hamilton, son of the president of the Bank of New York.
These people are also incredibly wealthy, and their greatest asset is their control over these countries. They had just considered taking a gamble with Da Bao.
But seeing that the Garcia brothers hadn't won a single game in two whole hours, they backed down. The young Chinese man in front of them was either incredibly skilled at gambling or had incredible luck. With these two advantages, no fool would dare to gamble with Da Bao anymore.
Da Bao handed a stack of traveler's checks to Arthur, Desley, and Susanna.
“You three are in luck today; each of you will receive one million pounds as pocket money.”
Arthur and the other two were stunned. My God, who would dare to take a million pounds as pocket money?
"Desley said seriously."
“Charlotte, my brother, we cannot accept your gift; it is far too much.”
Arthur and Susanna nodded repeatedly.
Da Bao waved his hand dismissively.
"It's nothing valuable, just a little money. Keep it and let's find a place to drink. I brought a few bottles of good wine from China."
After Da Bao said that, the others finally accepted it. All human emotions have a price, whether it's love, friendship, or family affection. It just depends on whether your price is high enough. If it is, you can sell anything.
Da Bao invited Sir Philda, Maetersley, and Henry to sit down for drinks. The three women who came with them all happily agreed. They arranged to meet at the restaurant an hour later, after changing into casual clothes.
Da Bao and Uncle Qing returned to the luxurious private room with their suitcases. He instructed Uncle Qing to keep an eye on things in the room before he slipped into his spatial dimension.
Inside the space, Nuannuan and Niuniu rode on a little tiger and a white wolf, galloping across the vast grassland, while Lu Xiue and Qin Qingyou leisurely fished by the lake, finding this kind of life very comfortable.
Da Bao looked around but didn't see Zuo Mingyue. Just as he was wondering about it, the little red horse came running over with steady steps. Da Bao almost laughed in anger when he saw Zuo Mingyue, who was heavily pregnant, sitting on the little red horse and dozing off, completely oblivious to the fact that she was pregnant.
Da Bao sighed inwardly. This was still an eighteen-year-old girl; in a future life, she would be a high school student nestled in her mother's arms, and now she was about to become a mother of four.
Da Bao gently lifted Zuo Mingyue down. Pregnant women are prone to sleepiness, and Zuo Mingyue mumbled "Mom" in her sleep. She thought it was Lu Xiu'e who had carried her down. Only when she snuggled into Da Bao's arms did she smell that refreshing fragrance and realize that her husband had come in.
Zuo Mingyue wrapped her arms around Da Bao's neck in a coquettish manner, found a comfortable position, and half-opened her eyes. Da Bao whispered to her that he had found her parents. Zuo Mingyue immediately opened her eyes excitedly and shook Da Bao vigorously.
"Da Bao, I want to see them, I want to see them right now..."
