HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 286 Half-Blood Prince

Chapter 286 Half-Blood Prince

With the help of the invisibility cloak, the three of them successfully reached the Gryffindor Tower. Gloria and Hermione waited outside for the time being, and Harry went back to get the book.

When she had some free time, Gloria asked, "Are you and Ron still having conflicts? Harry said before that it's very torturous to be caught between you two."

"It's not that I want to cause a conflict, it's just that Ron has a bad temper and always loses his temper over the smallest things." Hermione said, "He's been feeling much better since he got a girlfriend recently."

She continued: "I don't care about these things anymore. Klum is going to visit my house for Christmas and my parents are looking forward to it."

Gloria saw that she seemed to have let go of the little feelings she had for Ron.

"It's definitely worth looking forward to. I hope Ron can cherish that girl."

Whatever Ron was like, Lavender Brown really loved him.

Hermione knew this, "Lavender loves Ron very much, but she is jealous sometimes and wants Ron to be with her only. That's why I avoid being alone with Ron. I only do that when Harry is around. No matter what, we are still friends."

Sometimes she would get jealous when she saw a girl expressing her love for Krum in the gossip reports in the newspapers, and she could understand Lavender's jealousy.

Harry didn't keep them waiting too long and returned a few minutes later with the book.

Gloria took it and looked at it. The cover of the book was neat and tidy. When she opened it, she found it was an old book. The name "Half-Blood Prince" was on the first page.

She didn't say anything, but she felt that these notes looked more and more familiar.

Gradually, his expression became a little baffled.

Isn’t this Professor Snape’s handwriting? Among the Christmas presents I received in my second year was a Potions notebook from him.

Seeing this, Hermione asked nervously, "Is there something wrong with this book?"

When it comes to the dark arts, Gloria is the best among them.

"No." Gloria shook her head and said, "It's just a notebook full of personal opinions. The owner of the book is very good. And... these spells are really interesting."

Flipping the pages quickly, she saw some practical little curses.

"Yes," said Harry. "I have learned several spells, including the Hook, which I remember seeing my father use."

He didn't say who it was used on.

Hermione's face was full of disapproval, "There must be something wrong with the owner of this book. Remember the night we went to watch the Quidditch World Cup, the Death Eaters also used this spell on those who were caught."

Gloria thought of the Muggle family that was cursed to be hanging upside down.

But he soon realized that this was a book that Professor Snape read when he was a student, so it was normal for the spells he invented to be learned by Death Eaters.

Then they were impressed by the excellence of Professor Snape, who was about the same age as them, but had invented these extremely practical little curses.

"These are all prank curses, perhaps learned by others during school years," she said, "like Harry's father."

Then he stopped turning the pages and saw a spell: Divine Sharpness Without Shadow.

She repeated the sentence silently. Having had experience in inventing evil spells, she immediately knew that this was a powerful evil spell.

Gloria pointed at the curse and asked Harry, "Have you learned this spell?"

"I tried to learn it." Harry answered truthfully, "but since the latter mark is for the enemy, I haven't actually used it yet."

"You really shouldn't use it on others lightly." Gloria said, "This is a standard evil curse. If you get hurt, ordinary treatments may not work."

Hermione gasped, "I knew this wasn't a normal book! Harry, you should throw it away."

Harry was also surprised. He pursed his lips, obviously not happy. "I won't use these spells casually again, but the book..."

This book was of great help to him, and he had a faint expectation that this book belonged to his father.

"You must use the Shadowless Spell with caution." Gloria had no interest in persuading him to throw away the book. "Unless you have made up your mind to kill someone, you should use these small spells the rest of the time. Of course, this spell is far less dangerous than the Killing Curse."

Hermione's eyes widened. "It's already been compared to the Killing Curse, which means it's very dangerous." Then she looked at Harry and said, "You should give up this book and use the one you bought from Flourish and Blotts and accept your true results."

Harry put the book away quickly, "I'll consider it. So far I haven't done any harm with this book."

"What if it wasn't Leah and you used that spell without knowing it?" Hermione said seriously, "If you want to keep the book, you can't use the spell on it."

Harry bowed his head and said nothing.

While they were arguing, Gloria thought of the name Half-Blood Prince. The so-called 'Prince' should not refer to the prince of the Muggle world.

There was no way a wizard with such talent and love for the Dark Arts could use a Muggle title.

So 'Prince' should refer to a surname - Prince.

I have never heard of this surname in any famous wizard family. It seems that Professor Snape's mother is a wizard and his father is a Muggle, so he took his father's surname.

The argument between Harry and Hermione came to a temporary end. Harry said, "I plan to ask Sirius and the others when I get back if my father's nickname is Prince."

Gloria couldn't help laughing, "Would your father give himself a nickname like that?"

Harry blushed, and in fact he thought he would, especially seeing the silly look on his father's face in his memory.

"This book has some connection with my father, and it has come into my hands, so I want to check it out."

Hermione found it hard to comprehend this idea, "Maybe your father just learned the spell from someone else. That doesn't mean the book is his. I'd believe it more if it was your mother's."

After all, Professor Slughorn had praised his mother Lily's intelligence many times, and she had excellent grades in almost every subject.

Gloria said, “Don’t ask.”

Harry looked up at her, "Do you know who the Half-Blood Prince is?"

When he asked, there was a hint of expectation in his eyes.

"No, I don't know." Gloria didn't want to say that. "Your father is a Gryffindor student. If it's just a hook shot, it's possible, but he can't invent something of this level."

Hermione agreed with this, "Yes, your father and Sirius may learn evil spells, but they are not the ones who would invent the magic of the sword."

She was deeply shocked by the effect of the spell that Gloria had described.

Gloria expressed her own opinion, "I am more inclined to believe that the owner of this book is a student of Slytherin College." Then she asked, "What do you think of the owner of this book, Harry?"

The book was put away, but Harry still reached out and touched the place where the book was placed. "I think he is very good. I hope he is not a Death Eater."

Gloria lowered her eyes, hoping that Harry would never know that the owner of this book was Professor Snape.

After analysis, it was determined that the owner of the book was not his father, and Harry was disappointed.

Hermione said, "Well, be careful with these spells. I don't want to hear about anyone getting hurt. And don't practice them in front of others in case something like Ron happened."

"What's wrong with Ron?" Gloria asked curiously.

Harry lowered his head and replied, "I was practicing the golden hook in the common room before, and I accidentally cast a spell on Ron, and he was hung upside down."
